Straight onto the wall

Casa goes on as two coats of paint over a sound existing wall: no base coat, no mesh. Rockcote list brick, block, concrete, cement render, fibre cement sheet, AAC and plasterboard among the surfaces it suits.

Tintable to a wide range of natural mineral tones. Bright, saturated or “plastic” colours aren’t achievable in a clay paint, and colour shifts under different light.

Every batch is mixed to order. Ask for a real sample card before you lock a colour in. A screen will not tell you the truth about a natural finish.

It has no water resistance, so keep it to dry rooms, never wet areas. Keep to one batch per wall to avoid variation in colour.

Is Casa the same as Otsumigaki or Marrakesh?

No. Those are trowelled plasters. Casa is a clay paint, brushed or rolled on, and it's smoother and more matte than Marrakesh.

What can it go on?

A sound existing wall. Rockcote list brick, block, concrete, cement render, fibre cement sheet, AAC and plasterboard among suitable surfaces.

Can it go in a bathroom or a kitchen splash zone?

No. It has no water resistance, so it's for dry rooms only.

Is it low-VOC?

Yes. Low VOC and low odour, based on natural mineral ingredients.
